A successful company in Singapore wanted to name their corporate building per their brand CREATIVE. This was not accepted by the authorities (one must have Plaza, etc. behind it). The Chairman of the company had a long struggle to get it accepted as CREATIVE.
Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company was changed to 3M when they wanted to introduce innovative new products. This is to announce new focus of the company.
